Wilderness
Yoga Adventure
with 'Vedantin' Ping Luo and Bryan Russell
Join
us for a journey inward as we venture out into the wilderness
of the Sierra Mountains.
Enjoy this fully guided backpacking and yoga trip as we practice
yoga in the mountains with certified wilderness instructor and
certified yoga teachers Vedantin Ping Luo and Bryan Russell. We
will awake each morning with a meditation and gentle yoga practice
and conclude with a high pranic yoga practice in the afternoon"
Energized by wonderful vegetarian food, we will hike along the
trail during the day enjoying the company of others, reflecting
on our thoughts and basking in the California sun. There will
be plenty of personal time to reflect, read, and explore the surroundings.
Living
as a true yogi in modern life, 24 hours a day, is a focus of the
retreat. Through daily asana, chanting, meditation, pranayama,
and control of activity of thoughts, even off the yoga mat during
our daily adventures, a state of peace, joy, happiness, and bliss
can be reached and the true Self can be realized.
Dates: July 7-9, 2006
We will carpool from the Sivananda Yoga Center in San Francisco
(located at the corner of Arguello and Frederick on the south
side of Golden Gate Park) at 7:00 AM on Friday July 7. We will
return to San Francisco between 7:00 and 8:00 PM Sunday July 9.
