Raw Shakti Yoga

Raw Shakti Lunar Flow
Raw Shakti Lunar Flow is based off of the Kripalu tradition and allows us to rejuvenate the nervous system and create harmony within all aspects of the physical body.  We practice in a meditative way in order to bring awareness to how we are feeing inside the present moment.  Similar to Yin Yoga, it encourages our parasympathetic nervous system to relax and the mind to become calm and free of anxiety.  You will learn how to experience effortlessness within your growth. 

 
Raw Shakti Solar Flow
Solar yoga is based on the traditional forms of Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Sivananda yoga and is the ultimate way to create a fit, supple, and healthy body.  Moving the life force through the body, removing blockages, and harnessing fresh energy, the breath and movement are combined together in a dynamic way.  The Solar practice gives us energy, tones muscles, and allows us to live with optimum health.
 

Class Overview

Both our Raw Shakti Lunar Flow and Raw Shakti Solar Flow follow the same class format. Classes are designed to run for 1.5 hours:

  1. Opening and Intention setting
    Learning to OM
    Peace chant
  2. Warm-ups
    Lunar or Solar specific warm-ups
    Sun salutations
  3. Class Sequence (Lunar or Solar Flow)
  4. Savasana, Relaxation
  5. Reflection, Closing intention and Chant
